Description

Mote is the generic name for several varieties of corn grains, consumed in many regions of South America. It is usually prepared by boiling the grains in water.

These corn kernels, when cooked in water, are a light and healthy way to add to your salads, casseroles, soups, omelettes. When roasted it makes a great snack (we’d sprinkle on one of our Lemon Peppa , Salt & Vinegar or Harissa Seasonings).

A hybrid of corn that grows into large kernels for use in making snacks and various corn dishes. Common in Mexican cooking, Giant White Corn is referred to as Maiz Mote Pelado for Spanish foods or Hominy for south American foods and is often used in many recipes to be cooked and served in the same manner as dried beans.
